Well, a little further progress has been made. The motor is together enough to put it into the car so that the remainder of the plumbing and electrical work can be done.

I managed to fit the new engine compartment lid in such a fashion so that it is a about 10mm lower, for a better fit with the air inlet attached to the NACA duct. The 3" Wiggins clamp assembly makes it easy to disconnect when you want to open the engine cover.

The following photo shows the view you get with the motor compartment open.

As soon as the remainder of the plumbing and wiring is complete, the motor will come back out and get a final going over, before going on the dyno for testing.
